SHORIN RYU KARATE
Matsumura Shōrin-ryū Karate is generally characterized by natural breathing, natural (narrow, high) stances, and circular, rather than direct movements.
Shōrin-ryū practitioners will say that correct motion matters, being able to move quickly to evade violence by having fluid movements and flexible positions is quite important, and that a solid structure is very important for powerful moves. Stances that are too deep will most likely make body movement very difficult.
Okinawan Shorin Ryu Karate class is instructed by Mutch Usera, Sensei. He will bring the traditional training in an environment that fits all ages.
Basic drills, defense sets, fitness training, sparring and Katas are the key components in Shorin Ryu Karate training.
Now you can participate in a martial arts workshop that focus on effective self defense in a very short time period. Under the instructions of Mutch Usera, 9th Dan, Hanshi, Shorinji Ryu and Bujin Ki Ryu Jujitsu, you will learn easy to use applications in protecting yourself without risking your life. The Self-defense workshops varies from basic to advance. We also include:
1. Awareness of your environment
2. Things to use other than you hands for protecting yourself
3. Primary and secondary targets
4. Defense from the ground--grappling your way out
5. Weapon defense
6. Basic kicks, strikes and blocks
7. Simple locks, holds and escapes
Workshops are high intense training and require you to be prepared for physical training. Please dress appropriately--sweats, T-shirts, groin cup/supporter recommended.
